As a matter of principle, I tend to either "check out" or outright ignore via civil inattention people in my general vicinity. In the case of the former, I tend to appreciate the nuances of a person's appearance, which (if that particular person's appearance is aesthetically pleasing) can run the gamut from admiration of the work they put into looking the way they do to existential awe at the myriad shapes the human body can take.
In my experience, however, "most guys" don't see people or think about things the way I do, so my opinion may not be worth much.
